You know that saying about men starting out like grapes and it taking a woman to stomp all over them to make fine wine? Well, Liz Hurley does anyway. Here's what she and three other women made of their men

"Just because everything is different, doesn't mean anything has changed," is a quote accredited to American author Irene Peteru00a0-- a line that could come in handy for these lovely ladies, who gave their men a much-needed makeover.
Man, I feel like a woman!: Elizabeth Hurley & Shane Warne
When Shane Warne stepped out with Elizabeth Hurley on his arm, the 46-year-old former model simultaneously made sure she was seen on the noticeably slimmer arm of the former Australian cricketer. She is reportedly also responsible for the plucked eyebrows, which we imagine resulted in fair amount of plucking up of courage as well for the former podgy Australian bloke. Amidst reassurances to the media by Warne himself about him still being "a man", he's also managed to squeeze in a heartfelt "thank you" to his girlfriend, who he credits for his 22-pound weight loss and new style: tight tees over a tanned muscular torso. What can we say, but, 'Good job, Liz!'
I Did it My Way: Victoria & David Beckham
Watch the couple on any talk show and you know who wears the pants, even if Mrs B is wearing a tight skirt. Although Victoria has gone out of her way to change public perception, by describing her hubby's, ahem, "balls" as "golden", and assuring us that she isn't "some cow who shops around Bond Street all the time", we're on to her. We know better who picks out the footballer's threads or who decides the topic of conversation. And no one handles publicity as well as Posh. Watch the 2006 Youtube clip with Ali G, and you can see how Victoria completely overshadows Beckham: she's witty, spontaneous and doesn't shy away from questions, so he can sit back and giggle sheepishly.
I Want It That Way: Kareena Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan
He was arguably the most non-descript Khan to ever bat his long eyelashes on screen. But Saif Ali Khan did manage to come into his own in 2001 with the release of Dil Chahta Hai, so while it would be unfair to attribute his style and sex appeal exclusively to the influence of Bebo, there's no denying she's played a significant role in upping his glam quotient. Rumours abound that Kareena has even revamped his wardrobe and decides on Saifoo's look at formal occasions. Guess the tattoo of her name on his arm must help seal the deal.
This Is How We Do It: Anushka Sharma & Ranveer Singh
From nagging him about being lax about rehearsals to candidly proclaiming he's "too self-absorbed" and not the man for her, Anushka Sharma clearly wasn't making much of an effort to win brownie points with her Band Baaja Baaraat co-star and amour. She did though, manage to get him to pull up his socks, with at least one visible change in post-Anushka Ranveer: his confidence. Ranveer probably said it best, when he accepted the award for Best Couple on Screen at a Toronto film-awards event, saying, "Thank you Anushka for making me so hot". Indeed. Thank you Anushka.
