Itu00a0tok me quite a while, lots of climbing up and down escalators, walking from one end of the mall to the other, to figure out where the lounge bar-cum-bistro to which I was heading was located. Not a great beginning, I said to myself. But it took me less than five minutes to get over the initial hiccups.
My mood lifted as soon as I walked into The Second Sin, on the top floor of MGF Mall. Bright sunshine and soothing music greeted me when I crossed a narrow corridor, with graphic butterfly designs on them and walked into the bistro area.
Being Sunday, the brunch was on and a whole host of tempting dishes were spread out on tables on one side of the restaurant. The bistro area has glass walls on one side, offering a stunning view of the area outside. A semi-circular wall, that runs from one part of the restaurant to the other, serves as a wine rack. The other section has the bar, and the seating area has been separated with curtains, giving it quite a Middle-Eastern feeling. On both sides of the restaurant are terraces, one of which has AC tents and outdoor seating arrangement and is open only during the evening.

Taste of Europe
Tour of the restaurant done, I settled for some food. The restaurant mostly serves Continental. I ordered some Oven roasted stuffed chicken wings with peri peri and Kalamata olive and sundried tomato tapenade with shitake mushroom and Parmesan shaving for starters, along with a Chocolate martini that was fused with rum. The Chicken wings were cooked to perfection, no over-grilling or frying and the mushroom too was quite tasty. But what I loved is the Chocolate martini, very chocolatey and tasted quite like Bailey's Irish Cream. The Chicken Ballontine Stuffed with Spinach, Mushrooms and Pine Nuts was mind-blowingly delicious and the 2nd Sin Jumbo Prawns were also worth mentioning. I also really loved the Wasabi Crusted Lamb chops, not too tender, not too hardu00a0-- cooked just about perfect. The good thing about the food here is that it is cooked in the right way, minus excessive frying or grilling, and has just the right amount of spices required. Go there for the food, if not for the blissful ambience.
