A group of contemporary artists are exhibiting their work at the Tilting Art Gallery in Ishanya. Titled The Collective, the event will serve as a launchpad for the gallery's new website

Head to Tilting Art Gallery to view a contemporary group art exhibition. It will feature artists such as Sujata Achrekar, Vijay Achrekar, Laxman Aelay, Tirthankar Biswas, GA Dandekar, Ajay De, Avijit Dutta, Vipta Kapadia, Gautam Mukerjee, Jagannath Paul, DS Rane, Vinod Sharma, Gurcharan Singh, Vishnu Sonawane, Deepak Sonar, Fawad Tamakant, Pandurang Tathe and Umakant Tawde. Neena Sahani, the curator of the gallery, mentioned that the website will give art lovers a virtual peek into various exhibitions happening at the gallery.

"People will get to know about exhibitions that are on, artists and their works. We will soon start exhibiting artworks every month and the website will help keep people informed," said Sahani. The exhibition is a blend of various themes and styles and each artist has something different to offer. So, while Umakant Tawde will present his latest series of poster-like paintings on young Buddhist monks, Pandurang Tathe will be exhibiting abstract works which focus on the neighbourhood he grew up in. Avijit Dutta will present his work in watercolours and Vinod Sharma will be exhibiting Rockscape showcasing the beauty of rocky terrain. Also featured in the exhibition is Kolkata-based artist Gautam Mukherjee who has captured the bond and love within his family.u00a0
