Every year, there is a specific theme and this year's theme is climate change and the focus will be on spread awareness on global warming. Previous themes include water, trees, peace and the plight of adivasis.

This year, human rights activist Gustavo Marin will be coming from Paris to be the chief guest.

The focus of Fireflies, which describes itself as an intercultural centre and an eco-ashram, is to take care of the earth, to cultivate the soil and bring people together from all over the world.
