Chronic kidney disease (CKD) represents a progressive deterioration in kidney function over time, often stemming from conditions like diabetes, hypertension or glomerulonephritis. It is estimated that over 14 million Indians suffer from CKD.

As CKD advances, the kidneys lose their ability to effectively filter waste products and excess fluids from the blood, leading to a build-up of toxins in the body and disruptions in electrolyte balance.
