Stepping into the world of digital marketing after practicing as a licensed Physical Therapist for 23 years was a big script flip for Jessica Lynne White BS, MSPT. However, with her prior role as Director of Rehabilitation at a large sub acute hospital in Santa Monica, California, she made the decision to serve niche brands from the beauty and wellness industry. White knew she had something valuable to offer. However, there were still certain aspects of her digital marketing business that posed risks and dilemmas.

“I always knew I needed a team, and I needed to scale, and it was scary in the beginning. I was always cautious and calculated with my strategy. I did my research, and I began leveraging virtual assistants and outsourcing to service providers to grow rapidly with a solid base,” shares White about the initial phase of her journey.
In order to be successful, one must be ready to take risks, have a well-thought strategy ready at hand, and stay focused. White says, “I kept my head on straight, and I pulled the trigger when I needed to.” This has enabled her to evolve into the brilliant entrepreneur she is today who is proud of herself and her digital marketing agency, Kickstartsocial.co. She believes that her timely decisions regarding marketing and design are pivotal to her success.
Her biggest challenge along the way was doubting her true potential. She needed a change of mindset, and when White started believing that she had a lot to offer to the world, her business skyrocketed all because of her mindset shift.
“I shifted into the digital marketing space by doing social media management, and with a growing team, was able to offer web design, branding, and lead generation to book qualified clients for my partners,” White talks about her journey of growth.
In addition to scaling her digital marketing agency, Kickstartsocial.co, she also wanted to empower other women motivated to start and scale their own successful health, wellness and beauty businesses. White decided to use her expertise in both the digital marketing and healthcare world to help other female entrepreneurs get clear on their goals and take actionable steps to grow and succeed online.
“I have learned that success is a bridge to be crossed, not a corner to be turned. Social media and online success is a long game, and there is no shortcut or silver bullet,” says White. She shares how she has come to realize that in order to be successful, trusting the process is as important as setting clear goals.
