Born and brought up in Gurgaon, her journey started on a family vacation when at the age of six, a curious kid with a wild imagination picked up her father’s camera and hasn’t put it down since. She grew up painting, surrounded by performing arts, and it was inevitable that she would eventually dedicate herself to art. She considers paintings to be the origin of her photographic voyage. She had the creative freedom and an opportunity to look for her own identity and independence while she painted and that experience eased her way into the realm of photography.
Having been bought up in a society where careers in creative branches aren’t particularly encouraged, she previously worked, at arguably, the biggest multinational company in the world, Amazon. But, Surbhi, being a determined woman who had tremendous regard for her art, is the prime example of the fact that passion triumphs all and she is now the proud director and co-founder of GoodShotz Photography Pvt ltd. At GoodShotz she mentors young aspirants who share the same passion and enthusiasm as her for the art of photography. The company provides a platform and guidance for everyone who believes that photography makes an artistic difference in the world.
Inspiration is a mighty thing and so is Perspective. As human beings, we’re unique, we could stand in the same place and look at the same thing and yet, perceive it differently.
