Business tycoon Tanuj Patel have extended their helping hand to lockdown hit underprivileged people. His NGO “Roots Foundation” has assisted with the distribution of food to those whose financial resources have been drained during the lockdown.

Have you ever come across a person who flew away from another country to help his countrymen go through the hardships of lockdown and made their lives easier? This sounds filmy but this is real. This has actually happened and the said person is 36-year-old Mr. Tanuj Patel.

Over the last few months, thousands of people have lost the battle against Covid-19, and with strict lockdown imposed in the country results in no earnings for the thousands of daily wage workers and other citizens. However, people like Business tycoon Tanuj Patel have extended their helping hand to lockdown hit underprivileged people. His NGO “Roots Foundation” has assisted with the distribution of food to those whose financial resources have been drained during the lockdown.

Mr. Tanuj Jayendra Patel is an NRI who even after living in the United States works for the betterment of his motherland. His pure motives and selfless social service have led his organization to reach the pinnacle. Roots Foundation has observed the plight of the people who were ignored by the states like domestic help, construction laborers, auto drivers, etc. Not only poor people but he has literally played the role of Masiha in everyone’s lives who were seeking help in Anand, Gujarat. Following Covid protocols, he provided daily food service to those affected with COVID and quarantined at home. This initiative also offered job opportunities to many. He has served 4,00,000 meals to date, distributed over 25,000 vegetable kits and 30,000 fruit kits. He even arranged a free medical check-up camp in Anand District. He has helped people in all ways. He ensured nobody starves in the city for which he distributed over 3,500 kg of ration kits that included staple food.

The second wave is way more dangerous than the first hence requires more safety measures. Mr. Tanuj Patel carried a mass sanitizing drive and mask distribution in 35 villages in Anand District. He even provided tablets to students for online teaching. He extended help to the helpers as well. Worried about the policemen serving the city during the summer, he provided 20,000 water bottles along with ORS solution.

Having said that, Tanuj Patel has got larger than life character who is acknowledged by everybody. He acclaimed awards by World Record UK and Times Gujarat Icon for his generosity and philanthropy. Roots foundation is also taking initiatives like tree plantation, cloth donation drive, save girl child, beat plastic pollution, etc. India is really lucky to give birth to such a great personality!
