Dear Diana, I came to Mumbai two years ago from Sholapur. I'm the sole breadwinner for my family. Recently, I fell in love with a girl from the neighbourhood.
She is older to me and extremely mature. However, things have been bad for me and I’ve stopped sending money home. I have been borrowing from my girlfriend as she has a good job. I recently lost my third job. My girlfriend is unaware of it. While my parents are under the impression that I’m doing well but I’m going from bad to worse. Should I tell them the truth?

Dear Subit,
You need to be honest with your girlfriend as well as your folks. You are caught in a cesspool of lies. To protect one lie, you have to tell another one — and another. There is no end to the lying in your bid to cover up the truth. Even if you think you will not be caught, remember it may be for now. Sooner or later, the past will catch up with you. Considering that your girlfriend is financially helping you, you owe it to her at least. Meanwhile you need to get your act together and find a secure job.
Diana will solve it!
