Dear Diana, I'm 16 years old and the only child of my parents. My mother is having an extra-marital affair with someone from her past.
I came to know about this three months back and it’s been painful ever since. My dad isn’t aware of what she is up to. I love both of them equally but my sympathy lies with my dad. Her behaviour has changed and she doesn’t talk to him anymore and gives him a deaf ear whenever he says anything. Should I just tell dad what’s happening behind his back?

Dear Kavi,
You have displayed great strength and maturity to ask such a question. You are still too young but if you are sure about it, you need to speak to your father. Sooner or later your dad will find out. If you get involved, both your parents will pull you towards their side and expect you to stand by them. As a son, you naturally love and care for both parents and desire stability and peace. This is a delicate issue. You need to speak in confidence to your dad. Tell him to observe her behaviour and I am sure he will find something amiss.
Diana will solve it!
