Badoo, which has now become the world''s fourth-largest social network, has also been described as 'like Facebook' but for sex, as a poll covering 85,000 Briton members revealed that 30 per cent of users had 'met someone for sex' through the site.

According to the Daily Mail, on the home page, faces of people pop up saying, ''Yes'', ''No,'' and ''Maybe''. You can sign up as if it''s a normal social network, even logging in via a Facebook account, or log in ''to meet new people.''

When you sign up, it asks you whether you are interested in 'Men' or 'Women'.u00a0Over 125,000 new users sign up every day, and 51 million unique users enjoying the service every month, the report said.

Badoo has become one of the top 65 most visited websites in the world.u00a0It is a hit in 'emerging markets' including countries such as Indonesia and Mexico, and tailors itself to fit each territory.

Users create their own profile including where they want to meet new people, individuals can then chat with one another and choose to meet.u00a0Additionally, users may pay to be introduced to a larger number of people for their profile to be given more prominence on the site for a limited time.

Badoo is based on a 'Freemium' business model, similar to sites such as Spotify, with registered users having access to most services for free, but can then pay for more premium features.u00a0The site is available to use in 30 different languages in over 180 countries worldwide.
