Inspired by the phenomenon success of EL James' 'mummy porn' 'Fifty Shades of Grey', two entrepreneurial mothers have come up with an online site that helps lovers spice up their sex lives
The UK-based store offers a selection of upmarket ‘romantic and erotic’, packaged in glossy presentation boxes.

All of the boxes contain a grey silk tie as well as a soft feather to be used as a ‘tickler’ and a candle that melts to just above body temperature so that it can be dripped onto the skin and used as massage oil.
Depending on the box chosen, additional products could include whips, sex toys and a dizzying array of so-called ‘playroom’ gadgets that the firm say will ‘satisfy the needs of the most demanding ‘Christian Grey alter-egos.’
The tastefully marketed products - the two were keen that the site should look upmarket, so that shoppers could safely open the website at work without feeling seedy - have been sourced from high-end and award-winning suppliers and renowned manufacturers of luxury sex toys.
The two are adamant that their service should be flexible and bespoke for each client and, offer customers the opportunity to customise their own adult gift box, should they want to tweak or improve on one of the ideas on the website.
The duo admit that they were inspired by the racy Fifty Shades trilogy to turn an existing idea they had had for a concierge service delivering romantic gifts to lovers - sticking to tried-and-tested classics such as candles, oils, lingerie, flowers, chocolates and champagne - into something ‘a shade darker’.
“Demand triggered by a surging culture that has seen men and women looking for a little more excitement led to the inclusion of additional, more risqué ‘treats’,” a major newspaper quoted them as saying.
“The Fifty Shades books are works of genius, and we love the impact they have had, not only on our business, but on the women around us who have lapped up the fantasy and want to engage with it in their relationships.
“Amid so much gloom and doom a love story with a twist that has half the nation wiggling in their seats is just what we all need. Our shop is arty and tasteful and full of fantasy, and the boxes are quirky,” they said.
The two, who are in the process of adding champagne, chocolate and a concierge service with PA to book hotel rooms and boxes to the Box of Grey site, hope that their business will be ‘fuelled and further inspired’ by the imagination of their client.
They have launched a blog, and have started a conversation on Twitter and Facebook page to ask potential customers what special they would like to find in their own box.
“There are focus groups meeting to debate this across the UK and feedback will be reported directly on the site,” they said.
“We just can’t wait to see the answers. This will add a new dimension of fun to those who wish to become part of our community,” they added.
