Dear Diana, I'm a 30-year-old woman who works in an ad agency. I thought one of my colleagues had a thing for me but he's not ready to tell me yet.
Then one day all of a sudden, as I was in the company of other colleagues, he walked over and told me that he wants to be my friend. It almost sounded like a joke to me. I mean, I thought he perceived me as someone more than a friend. Now I’m in a quandary as to what to tell him. I don’t wish to be rude either. Who knows if we can take the relationship one step further and spend our lives together. Or maybe I’m dreaming. I must be a fool for sure!

Dear Shona,
Yes... you are a fool for sure. You seem to be in your la la land. Grow up woman; you are 30. You are behaving as if you are 16! All this while you thought that this guy had the hots for you. What stopped you from knowing what’s in your mind? And this guy seems to be a jerk — announcing in front of everyone that he wants to be your friend. Stop dreaming and if you are really interested in him, get going. He wants you to be his friend so he is making his move — he could not say out aloud in front of your colleagues that he wants you as a lover! Strike a bond with him and get to know him better first and then think of a future with him.u00a0
