Dear Diana, I'm a 31-year-old housewife with a three-year-old kid. My relationship with my husband has its share of ups and downs but what gets me most irritated is his constant comparison of me with his sister.
He loves pointing out that she is a far better cook than me or her home is so neat and tidy. Sometimes, I feel like I’m one of the very few in the world who has a competitor in her sister-in-law! To add to my embarrassment, he does all this deliberately to irritate me. He knows how much I dislike his sister. Otherwise, my husband is a pretty nice guy and a thorough family man who cares for his wife and son.

Dear Anshula,
Your husband is one control freak. He wants to transform you into something you are not. I am sure he even compares the quality of your hair to that of his sis! You say otherwise he is a good hubby and father, except for this sister comparison bit. So it is best to ignore his comments. He seems to be thriving in nagging you this way. As you are reacting to whatever he says, he is deriving great pleasure in doing it. Over time, when he realises that you are not reacting, he will stop. It will be tough but try it.u00a0
