I have been dating this girl for about five months now and she has meant the world to me. We are young and still live with our parents, and I met her through my job. Everything was going great, we were always talking/texting back and forth, and I always had the sense we wanted to be around each other.

That was until one Friday night. Things seemed alright that night as we were still talking and laughing at her home. The next day, when I tried to talk to her, she acted as if I never existed and wouldn't say much to me. This behaviour continued Sunday, which really started to mess me up mentally.

Since then I haven't tried to talk to her because of her attitude towards me, and am trying to keep a low profile until either one of us says something either via phone, text, email, etc. My questions are: 1) Why would someone I gave absolute dedication to, just decide to blow me off like that?u00a0 2) What should I do? Should I try to remain secluded and give her breathing space or should I try to contact her?

When dating, tons of people do this. You have just started dating and it could be likely someone else has caught her eye. Dating is a selection process and this situation you are going through is a huge learning experience. Leave her alone... give her space.

Keep your pride and your sense of dignity intact and stop jumping through her hoops. If her interest has waned and she doesn't have the respect to tell you to your face, you need to be strong and move on. Give yourself time to recover as this is hurtful, but when you are over this..get out there and meet other girls. If she comes back, you need to think smart.u00a0 Maybe she has a good reason for blowing you off, maybe she doesn't. You deserve some kind of explanation and that has to come from her.
