Patra Ni Machhi

Keen to know more about Parsi culture or wish to ring in Navroz festivities earlier? Then, participate in this Parsi Culture to Cuisine Trail, hosted by Sofitel Mumbai BKC, along with the Ripon Club. Founded in 1884, by Sir Phirozeshah Mervanji Mehta, Jamshedji Tata and Sir Dinshaw Manackjee Petit, the Ripon Club is a quaint English-style establishment in Fort for professionals to meet and chat over sumptuous tradition fare.

Chefs Tehmtan and Shernaz Dumasia from the club will take over the hotel’s kitchen to serve authentic Parsi fare for this 10-day long festival. The rotational menu includes typical varieties like Mutton Dhansak, Patra Ni Machhi, Lagun Nu Custard, Chicken Farcha, Khara Bhinda, Dhan Dal + Egg Patio, Sali Chicken, Sali Per Edu, Bread Pudding, and more.

Celebrating all things Parsi, the hotel will also display many literary works about the community including Beyond the Last Blue Mountain, Camera Chronicle, Colonial Parsis and Law, Great Leaders Great Vision, Iranian Studies, Laughter in The House as well as Poems Potpourri and Parsees. An exhibition showcasing intricately embroidered, vibrant Gara sarees is also a part of this celebration.
