Terra, the newly revamped rooftop restaurant in Bandra shines in bits but has a lot to take care of, to stay in the race

Rendezvous on the roof at Bandra's Terra

White dominates the ambiance of the eatery

Terra
Food: Average
Service: Quick
Ambiance: Pleasant

We have a thing for rooftops and balconies — a chance to be on our own, gather our thoughts. Get the drift?

White dominates the ambiance of the eatery

So, Terra (earlier The Café), a rooftop eatery in Bandra, seemed like a good spot to hit post work. Housed on the roof of The Executive Enclave hotel, at first sight, it presented the now oft-seen white and turquoise décor. The eatery is only lit with a few dim lights; such that we needed a light to read the menu (so much for romantic evenings!). We had to choose from a few starters (Sindhi Rollers were an unusual sight on the menu) pizzas, pastas and sizzlers.

The Quattro Formaggi Pizza was one of the good dishes at Terra

First, we ordered for Orange Potato Paprika (Rs 225) and Chicken Waffle (Rs 275). The potato dish turned out to be average, with no hints of orange; the potatoes should have been fried or grilled than boiled before being cooked in the tasty sauce. The Chicken Waffle was good — the sauce-laden chicken bits contrasted well with the sweet waffle.

The bar section had typical choices; we ordered a Daiquiri and a Whiskey Sour (both Rs 400). They use 60 ml of alcohol in the cocktails but the drinks weren’t mixed well.

Eager to finish our meal, we ordered a Quattro Formaggi Pizza (Rs 350) and a Chicken Sizzler in Bacardi Sauce (Rs 400). The pizza lifted our mood; with its generous toppings. The sizzler though was average, the sauce didn’t taste as appealing as it sounded. If outdoors are your thing, Terra is a lukewarm option, but the journey is like a rollercoaster, where you can’t predict a unforeseen bump.
