One of the city’s most prominent cultural institutions is reopening with a stellar line-up of performances

After a hiatus of nearly a year and a half, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is all set to welcome visitors from October 29, with specially curated performances in music and theatre. The opening night will showcase a prominent piece of Marathi theatre titled Eka Lagnachi Pudhchi Ghost, written and directed by Adwait Dadarkar, featuring a cast of performers like Prashant Damle, Atul Todankar, Kavita-Lad Medhekar and others.

To follow up, the institution will also hos t several musical events, starting with a performance by veteran musician Louiz Banks, who will take the stage with a line-up of artists including Rahul Jhunjhunwala, Gino Banks, Sheldon D’Silva and Trisha Rego. 


Other performances that will be showcased include pieces by the SOI Chamber Orchestra, with conductor Marat Bisengaliev, as well as a live concert by musician Rashid Khan, and a Bharatanatyam performance by Rama Vaidyanathan.
