DC Comics has announced that the latest edition of its Superman series will feature Jonathan Kent, who is bisexual. The announcement was made on National Coming Out Day in the US. This storyline, a part of the Superman: Son of Kal-El series, follows the original Superman Clark Kent’s son Jonathan, taking on the mantle of his father. The creator of the series argued that the decision was made keeping in mind changing social dynamics, and to lead the conversation of sexuality and identity to the forefront of the mainstream.
