Shimla: The state police today raided a hotel at Shoghi near here, and arrested 20 men and eight women for their alleged involvement in flesh trade, official said.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided the hotel located on the border of Solan and Shimla today evening and arrested the accused from various rooms. Police also seized liquor bottles and other materials, SP Shimla D W Negi said.

The men and women were booked and the arrested persons would be produced in the court tomorrow, Negi said.

Preliminary enquiries revealed that the men hailed from Ganganagar in Rajasthan while the women are from Ludhiana in Punjab, he said, adding that the possibility of a sex racket cannot be ruled out.
