The incident took place last month and a case was registered on June 12 with Thane GRP, which recently transferred it to Vartak Nagar Police station here. The robbers fled with the booty on June 10 when the Mumbai-bound family was travelling in Howrah Mail along with the bride. Her jewellery in two rexin bags comprising Rs 22,000 cash, 220 grams of gold ornaments and 10 grams silver worth Rs 9,05,140 were stolen, Sr PI Vartak Nagar police station Nitin Bangale said today.
