Anuj Mehta (34), manager at a reputed private company, lodged a complaint at the Swargate police station against the unidentified thieves who burgled her apartment.
A complaint was filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Assistant Inspector Sandesh Kenjale from Swargate police station said, “Mehta family had gone to Mahabaleshwar on Saturday and Sunday. The door of the flat was locked.
The thieves broke the latch, entered the bedroom and decamped with booty, worth R3.62 lakh, comprising cash and gold. We questioned a few of the guards following which we discovered that all of them were on leave for Holi. Further investigation is on.”
