After spiking drink male accused rapes survivor when she starts feeling drowsy

In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly raped at a birthday party in Palghar district near Mumbai. According to the police, the incident took place in a house in Waliv in Maharashtra's Palghar district on February 13. The host and her boyfriend allegedly spiked the survivor's drink and sexually assaulted her, a Waliv police station official said.

"When the survivor started feeling drowsy after having the spiked drink, the female accused pinned her and the boyfriend raped her. After committing the crime, the duo threatened the victim to keep mum about the incident," the cop added.
The 27-year-old survivor, a resident of Kandivali in the northern part of Mumbai, later filed a complaint with the Waliv Police on Sunday. The cops swung into action following the complaint, and booked the woman and her boyfriend, both in their mid-twenties, and charged them for rape and criminal intimidation, said Palghar police's public relations officer Hemant Katkar.
In another case, a 16-years-old minor girl was molested by her friends on the pretext of celebrating her birthday party. According to the police, sources, the victim was allegedly invited by one of her tuition friends to celebrate her birthday near a garden in Borivali West. She was found in an unconscious condition, by a local social worker in the evening. She was taken to her house by the social worker who recognised her and later informed her parents.
The victim first made false excuses to her parents justifying that she fell unconscious due to the fall from the train, but after stern questioning, she narrated the entire incident of how her tuition friends called her to celebrate her birthday at a garden situated near IC Colony. They spiked her drink with alcohol due to which she fell unconscious and then they raped her.
