A 33-year-old civic-run hospital staffer on Monday allegedly jumped off 15-storey building in Mumbai and died, an official said.

The man, an employee of Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central area of the city allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a nearby building, the official said.
The deceased was identified as Rohit Gurbani, a Class III employee. He was working as a Record Assistant in Nair Hospital since 2015, the official said.
"He jumped off the terrace of 15-storey Topaz Apartments (Nair Hospital staff quarters) opposite wockhartd hospital. He was undergoing treatment since last 7-8 years for schizophrenia," the official said.
He was declared dead at 6.05 pm. No suicide note was found from the spot," he said.
An Accidental Death Record (ADR) has been registered by the Agripada Police in Mumbai which has been further investigating the matter.
Woman stabs brother-in-law to death, attempts to kill self in Thane
Meanwhile, in an another incident, a woman allegedly stabbed her brother-in-law to death after a petty argument and later reportedly attempted to kill herself. The incident took place in Thane district of Maharashtra, the police said on Monday, reported the PTI.
The woman allegedly attempted to kill herself by slitting her wrist at her home in Thane district, the police said, the news agency reported on Monday.
The incident took place at the woman's house in the Sonarpada area of Dombivili town on Sunday afternoon, an official said, as per the PTI.
According to the PTI, the woman was identified as 34-year-old Sangeeta Mengane. She had an argument with her brother-in-law Sagar, 38 and allegedly attacked him with a knife in a fit of rage, killing him on the spot, he said.
She then tried allegedly to commit suicide by slitting her wrist with a sharp object, he said, adding that the woman is currently undergoing treatment.
The victim sustained several stab wounds to his chest, and his body was sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered based on a complaint lodged by the victim's wife, the official said, the news agency reported on Monday.
