Hearing this, the trio began abusing and arguing with Nadar. This escalated into a physical fight in which Nadar sustained severe injuries to his eye. This was when he called up the Bangur Nagar police. In his complaint, Nadar has said that he had only accidentally pushed one of the men. Despite apologising for his mistake, he was beaten up.
Police reached the spot and sent the owner to Shatabdi Hospital, as his eye socket had been damaged. The assailants are all residents of Orlem in Malad (West) and were booked under Sections 325 (causing grievous hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code. They have been remanded to judicial custody for 24 days.
The woman then filed a case against the hotel owner for his alleged inappropriate behaviour. “Based on the complaint of the woman, we have charged Nadar under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman) and 504 of the IPC,” said Sub-Inspector Shivaji Todkar from Bangur Nagar police station. Nadar will be arrested once he is discharged from the hospital. The police officers added that they were investigating the case to find out the exact reason behind the fight between the three men and Nadar.u00a0
