"The phone was traced by its IMEI number and now we have recovered seven mobiles and sent all of them to the forensic laboratory to retrieve the deleted data," said an official from the Crime Branch.
Cops further added that Vora had sold her phones at different places making them almost untraceable. She sold one phone in Ahmedabad and also deleted data and call logs, but authorities are confident that they will be able to retrieve some information.
The police is also investigating as to why Vora was gifted a phone by a prominent businessman who is also the brother in-law of a famous actor. Officials from Crime Branch said that they would interrogate the actor's relative.
