Kavita Karkare, widow of slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare, finally found her name in the voter's list at Wadala after MiD DAY reported that her name was missing. Kavita, who lives in Dadar, was extremely upset after she could not find her name on the voters list.

Even though she submitted all the required documents two months ago, she could not find her name on the electoral list. Speaking to MiD DAY Kavita said, "I am keen to vote, but I was not able to do so. I have received a call and will find out if my name is really there. If it is there I am definitely going to vote."

Interestingly, none of her family members' names appear on the list. She does not even have an election card but wants to get everything sorted out before the Assembly elections in October this year.
