We want an alliance with the Congress in the elections but if they insist that we fight the elections on our own then the same should be discussed on priority and a decision should be taken in this regard soon, the NCP leader said on the sidelines of a function here.
In 1999, we fought the elections separately and gave room for the BJP-SS to come to power.
This should not be repeated, Bhujbal said. An alliance between Congress and NCP is needed to prevent the votes from splitting, he said.
