The Kasturba Marg police arrested 28-year-old Jagdish Shankar Gaikar late last night, for the alleged murder of Chandrashekhar Dalvi, whose body was found inside Borivili's Sanjay Gandhi National Park on Thursday.

The Kasturba Marg police confirmed the arrest and said that Dalvi was a 35-year old man fromu00a0 Naigaon, Vasai.

A plastic bag with clothes and an I-D card recovered from the deceased may have revealed his identity.

According to the cops, Dalvi was killed early in the morning and the body was later discovered by the forest guards on the same day.

Cops believe that Dalvi had entered the park on Wednesday evening with one or two persons. Quarrel among them may have led to the murder, said the police.
