After the dance bars were banned in 2005, many bars in the city turned into orchestra bars. Such bars have female singers and sometimes female waiters.
Bar owners have come to the court saying that police do not allow the female singers to perform beyond 9.30 pm, whereas their license allows them to stay open till 1.30 am.
Court has now asked police to file an affidavit, in four weeks, giving detailed policy regarding such bars.
