"The raid was carried out as Chitresh Shrivatsav, who runs an event management company, used to get the singer's foreign money exchanged at the firm," said a DRI official.
According to eyewitnesses, a team of three DRI officials came in a private car at 6 pm and carried out a search till 10 pm. They went through all the documents to find records of transactions carried out by Shrivastav and Khan.
The singer was detained with $1.24 lakh at the Delhi airport on Sunday. The agency is also investigating whether there are any hawala links to the money. Shrivastav could not be reached for comment.
