When contacted Sami said, "I have done everything to keep my marriage alive." Meanwhile his advocate Vibhav Krishna told MiD DAY, "The case is between husband and wife, hence it is not maintainable."

Galadhari's counsel S U Kandar was not available for comment.

In her petition before the HC, Galadhari stated that she was the absolute owner of the five flats - on the 13th and 14th floor of the Building Oberoi Sky Gardens - which were gifted to her by Sami under gift deeds dated May 12, 2008.

Interestingly, Galadhari and Sami had entered an agreement on January 20, which clearly stated that in case of a divorce, she would be the only owner of the flats. The agreement also stated that Sami's parents and his son would not be allowed in the said flats.

The agreement further read, Sami, as being husband of Galadhari, would be allowed to temporarily stay in those flats but the parents, brother and son of Sami would not be allowed to stay in the said flats.

According to the agreement, Sami would stop consuming alcohol and have affairs with other women; would stop quarrelling, abusing her emotionally and physically, failing which the marriage would be dissolved.
The case was due for argument before Justice Anil Nirgude on Tuesday but got adjourned to Wednesday since the lawyer for Sami's wife was busy in another court.
