Livid over the insensitivity of the hospital, the parents visited the hospital to find out the reason for such an act. "I was astonished over their insensitivity, when we lost our child due to the negligence of the hospital.

When I visited the hospital, the CEO Doctor Sujit Chatterjee admitted their mistake and personally apologised for their act. But I asked them to show me the person responsible for sending this greeting card. They tried to cover up and shield him by saying he was not present at the hospital. Even when we were protesting, a doctor named Arun Shetty had the audacity to tell us to leave the hospital as the CEO had apologised," said Kamble, who runs his own business.

Kamble alleged that the baby was born healthy without complications. One of the doctors at the hospital had reportedly told the couple that the baby may have died due to a syndrome called the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

"After that, we got a certificate from the pediatrician saying that the cause of death was unknown. A case was also registered with the police, as it was the death of a female baby, but on the advice of our friends and relatives we did not pursue it," Kamble added.

Dr Sujit Chatterjee said, "The intention was to wish the mother, but it was insensitive and I have personally apologised to the couple. It was a technical error, a secretarial mistake. We do accept our mistake in sending the card."
