On Saturday, Mid day had reported that the hospital was likely to be forced to suspend functioning after UBI had threatened to freeze its accounts following the fact that the hospital had come under the scanner of the CBI and Directorate of Enforcement (ED) for alleged money laundering by its trustees.
In a notice issued to the trustees on April 9, the state-run bank had expressed concern at the gravity of allegations made before the Supreme Court (against the trustees) and the diverse and contradictory instructions given to them by two groups of trustees.
