He was waiting for his flight when he accidentally dropped his wallet that had his identity cards and an Aadhaar card, which was a mere colour Xerox with a picture of his stuck on it.

It's missing
After walking for a few metres, Khan realised that his wallet was missing and went back to the spot where he was earlier seated. He then started to look for the wallet and asked the security staff, who informed him that it had been found and was in the possession of the airport security staff.

When he reached to collect his wallet, the security asked for his boarding pass. They also asked him to prove that the wallet belonged to him. They checked his wallet for an identity proof, but instead found the photocopied Aadhaar card, which had the name of the man's relative, sources said. He was then taken to the police station.

All for a concession
"The boarding pass was in his name but the Aadhaar card was in the name of his relative. Upon questioning him, he said a relative of his works for an airline and would get tickets on concession for his family. Hence, he allegedly forged the document. He has been booked under sections 419 and 420 of the IPC," said a police officer.

Khan was produced before a court on Thursday and has been remanded in police custody.
