Mumbai police today arrested three persons and apprehended two minors in connection with the killing of an 18-year-old youth in suburban Bhandup.
Akash Wankhede (18) was stabbed to death around midnight yesterday.
Police said that Deepak Tahire, the main accused, called Wankhede to Patkar Compound in Bhandup West to settle an old dispute last night.
After he arrived, Tahire and some others had a heated argument with Wankhede and stabbed him before fleeing the spot.
Police admitted him to hospital, where he was declared dead.
"We launched a manhunt and nabbed Deepak and his accomplices at 6 am today," said a senior police official.
Two minors were also apprehended later in the day. While Deepak and two others were remanded in police custody till August 21 by a local court, the two minor boys were sent to a Juvenile Home. Further probe is on.
