A 40-year-old employee of a mobile network company has been arrested for molesting a 74-year-old woman on the pretext of being a masseuse sent by her son.

The accused has been identified as Krishna Gore, who was caught by the daughter-in-law of the victim, after he had gone to their building at Mahim again to target someone else.

The 31-year-old daughter-in-law said, “Three weeks ago, he came to our house, claiming he was a masseuse sent by my husband for my mother-in-law. He was to give her a full body massage.” The daughter-in-law, Puja (name changed) was asked to go out.

Puja said, “My mother-in-law told me that she was hypnotized by him, as she just followed his instructions. He asked her to lie on the bed and remove her clothes.”

“After my mother-in-law regained her senses she recollected what happened,” Puja said.

This Saturday, the accused approached a girl who stays on the second floor. “He told the 16-year-old that he was an LIC agent and wanted to talk to her. When a neighbour started asking him questions, he fumbled and started running. I followed and two locals helped me catch him,” added Puja.

Police Inspector Deepak Mahekar from Mahim police station said, “We are trying to find whether there are more victims of Gore’s crime.”
