While Vilasrao Deshmukh's son Amit and Eknath Gaikwad's daughter Varsha stand a good chance of being granted ministerial berths, Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's daughter Praniti's chances are bleak
Some of the neta kids, who won the Assembly elections, are likely to have their hands full with a ministry, but there are always exceptions.
According to sources, Praniti Shinde, daughter of Sushilkumar Shinde who won from Solapur, may be left out in the cold, unlike Varsha Gaikwad and Amit Deshmukh who may be given portfolios.
Names doing rounds for allocation of ministries, include Varsha Gaikwad (34), daughter of Member of Parliament Eknath Gaikwad and two times MLA from Dharavi, Amit Deshmukh (33), son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, Nilesh Parvekar (37), from Yavatmal, Yashomati Thakur (35), from Teosa constituency and Krishna Hegde (42), from Vile Parle.
Reserved category
According to a Congress source, chances of Varsha Gaikwad getting a berth are higher, as she is from the reserved category and a woman.

Even Rajiv Satav from Kalamnuri constituency is a powerful youth leader. The trio's induction in the ministry is likely," the source said.
With Ashok Chavan to be CM again, there is a possibility of Dilip Deshmukh, brother of Vilasrao, or Amit getting a ministry.
"In spite of opposition from many leaders, Hegde was given a ticket due to his closeness to the Dutt family," the source said.
Tough road ahead
There are two women contenders before Praniti. "I am happy with the margin of my victory and anything above it will be a bonus.
I am not expecting anything, as I am a first timer. I have to work hard to prove my mettle," she said.
'Want work'
Gaikwad, on the other hand, is hopeful to get a ministry. "I want to work and need the responsibility. This is my second term and I have proved my worth.
I will be happy with whatever the party decides," she said. K Gidwani, senior Congress leader said, "A decision on this issue will be taken after the CM is sworn in."
Berth Control
The chances of Kripashankar Singh who has been eyeing the revenue ministry are high, but Chandrakant Handore and Suresh Shetty may not get anything.

Narayan Rane is likely to get the industries ministry, while Naseem Khan may be promoted to the cabinet or given an independent charge.
