On Saturday too, an over head cable (OHE) snapped at Sandhurst Road around 9 am. Due to this, three services were cancelled and the train schedule remained affected till 4 pm.
CR authorities said they would replace old OHE cables, clips (which bind the OHE cables to the train’s pantograph), level track gradients and even lower the height of the train by chipping the wheels to ensure such incidents are minimised.
