Police officers moved fast after receiving a call at 7 am about a body was lying on Kennedy Bridge. The body had several injuries and the head was smashed, which led the police to suspect foul play.
The deceased has been identified as 30 year-old Aakash, a catering supplier, who was killed by business rivals.
While questioning locals, a man identified the deceased saying he had seen him visit Amrut Caterers in Grant Road often. That proved to be the crucial piece of information that would help police crack the case.
