Two commuters are indebted to RPF at Bandra Terminus for making the effort to find their expensive bracelet, valuable answer sheets LOST AND FOUND: Gurudutt Trivedi had misplaced his bracelet while travelling by the Bhavnagar Express on October 19.
October was a good month for the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bandra Terminus. Their honest cops returned a bracelet worth Rs 14,500 to Gurudutt Trivedi and precious answer papers to teacher Nandita Raut.

Trivedi, who was travelling in the AC coach of Bhavnagar Express on October 19, misplaced his gold bracelet on the seat.
"I got off at Bandra Terminus that morning. It was only when I reached home that I realised my bracelet was missing," said Trivedi. He found the helpline number 23004000 on the Internet and called it.
At the control room, RPF constable T N Swamy in turn informed Bandra Terminus Assistant Sub Inspector Vinod Sharma, who along with constable Nivruti Patil went to the yard and personally checked the coach.
Bandra Terminus RPF Inspector Dinesh Kanojia said, "After checking the berth Trivedi had occupied, my staff found the bracelet inside the pillow cover.
We immediately called up Trivedi and handed over his bracelet."
'Grateful to RPF'
The 9.5-gram bracelet was worth Rs 14,500. "I am very grateful to the RPF. I was sure I wouldn't get my bracelet back, but I was lucky."
Answer sheets
Two days after Trivedi's incident, Nandita Raut, a school teacher from a Vile Parle-based school, left 53 answer sheets of her Std VII students on the Virar-Dahanu shuttle.
She was carrying the sheets to her mother's house in Palghar. "Raut registered a complaint at Palghar station and also informed her school," said Kanojia.
Raut's train was later taken to the Bandra yard, from where RPF personnel were able to retrieve all the
answer sheets.
Considering the importance of the papers, RPF personnel first informed the Vile Parle school about it from the address mentioned on the sheets. "The RPF officers did a good job," said the school's principal.
