Police have sent the skulls and bones to the forensic lab for tests to confirm if they are genuinely human. Police said two days ago around 30 tantriks arrived in Vikramgad and were involved in ‘spiritual activities’ at a place.

Police said these tantriks allegedly asked the villagers to give them money, after which, they promised money would rain from trees and they would also find money buried in the village. However, these babas used to hide fake currency notes underground and on trees and do the ‘spiritual activity’ black magic.

In the primary interrogation, police found that the tantriks are from Gujarat, and were targeting villagers to loot them. The other tantriks could not be detained in the jungle area. Palghar district PRO Manoj said, “We raided the jungle area of Vikramgad and have detained the tantriks.
