"This move will make sure commuters don't have to climb down the skywalk to buy a ticket, and then again take a foot-over bridge to reach the platform.
This has been planned for all railway stations," said Lt Col Anand Pahal, additional chief engineer, MMRDA, who is looking after all skywalk projects.

Railways' OK
Both Central Railway and Western Railway have approved the MMRDA's proposal. "We have received the proposal and are in talks with them.
We have already okayed the proposal at Thane and Parel," said
S Mudgerikar, chief public relations officer, CR.
According to Pahal, there maybe at least three booking windows on these skywalks, depending on commuter traffic at the station.
"On the western line, there is a likelihood of constructing booking offices at 18 places on 14 stations. On the central line, the booking offices are being planned at 16 locations," said an MMRDA official.
