Prashant Main (19), a Std XII student of Rajiv Gandhi Night College, Vikhroli, survived a fall from a crowded train at Ghatkopar yesterday, with injuries to his head and back. His family is worried about his Std XII exams that commence on February 26.

Around 9.30 pm Prashant and his friend were returning home from Ghatkopar, where they had gone to verify their study materials. They boarded a crowded train at Ghatkopar and stood at the doorway. When the train was between Vikhroli and Kanjurmarg, Prashant slipped, hit a pole, fell on the side of the tracks and landed in an empty gutter.

Sagar, another friend of Prashant, who reached the spot, said, "I got a call from Prashant's friend, and we rushed to the spot. We took him to Rajawadi Hospital in a train, as there was no ambulance nor any medical help."
