The trial in the Mumbai terror attacks case began on Friday with the prosecution opening its case against arrested gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab and two others.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam opened the arguments against Qasab, Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed for their alleged involvement in the 26/11 attacks case in which 183 people were killed.

The court had yesterday appointed a lawyer for Qasab paving the way for the start of the trial in the case. Qasab and two others have been booked in 12 cases related to the terror strikes.
