Officials at the Marine Drive police station had been waiting long for the actress to record her supplementary statement, after she left for Los Angeles, USA, soon after filing the complaint. Investigators of the case are trying to gather information about the people who witnessed the incident on May 30, and what exactly happened at Garware pavilion between the duo.

According to sources, Preity has alleged that the first incident of abuse from Wadia was when he abused her team, to which she intervened, near Garware pavilion. Later, Ness followed her to her seat, screaming, when an American stepped in, asking him to back off. Finally, when she went to congratulate her team on the ground, Ness abused her again.
Along with her statement, Preity has also provided names of around 15 eyewitnesses for the case, whose statements the police will soon record.
“We have recorded her statement, and will now take statements of people she has named, to strengthen the case,” informed Krishna Prakash, additional commissioner of police, south region.
