The controversial draft development plan for Mumbai has been scrapped by the state government. On Tuesday, the state cabinet decided to ask BMC to correct mistakes in the draft and prepare a new draft in next 4 months.

The draft DP has come under fire, among other reasons, for its philosophy that more FSI implying more high-rises would create affordable housing in the city. File pic for representation
