Out of the 24 wards in the city, RC Ward (Borivli) has the highest number of active cases

The number of new cases of Covid-19 are on the decline and now, only Borivli has over 500 active cases. Kandivli West and Andheri West have more than 450 cases. In the South, Girgaum, Bhendi Bazar/ Dongri, have less than 50 cases.

The active cases across the city are less than 6,000. Out of them, 2,000 cases are concentrated in just five wards. Out of the 24 wards in the city, RC Ward (Borivli) has the highest number of active cases.
K West Ward (Andheri) had been on the top with the highest total cases till now—53,092. But now it is behind Borivli and Kandivli in active cases. “The wards in Western suburbs have larger population and hence, the number of active cases are more compared to the South wards,” said an official from the BMC.
