Mumbai, on Saturday, saw a marginal increase in new Covid-19 cases. There was a slight dip, however, in the Test Positivity Rate along with Covid-19 fatalities.


As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 454 new cases were reported on Saturday along with five deaths. The TPR was 1.10 per cent.


The doubling rate improved and was at 1,195 days on Saturday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 580 people recovered and were discharged on Saturday.


As per the state health department report, 3,276 cases were reported in the city. The state saw a marginal rise in the number of deaths as 58 deaths were reported on Saturday. The state’s case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent as 3,723 recovered and got discharged on Saturday. Currently, the state has 37,984 active cases. 

The MMR saw a rise in cases on Saturday. As per the state report, 995 cases were reported in the MMR region, including cases from Mumbai. Apart from Mumbai, Raigad recorded the maximum number of cases (100), followed by Thane Municipal Corporation that reported 77 new cases.
