Covid-19: Mumbai’s cases drop to less than 400 once again

The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 502 people recovered and were discharged on Thursday

After registering new cases over 400, the city saw a drop in Covid-19 new cases on Thursday as the figure fell below 400 for the second time in the second wave. The city also saw a drop in Covid-19 fatalities. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 392 new Covid-19 cases were reported across the city on Thursday with 10 deaths.

Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) saw a significant drop and was 1.28% on Thursday. The city reported the second wave’s lowest test positivity rate (TPR) on July 16 at 1.26%. After registering TPR above 2 on last June 27, the city’s TPR had remained below 2.
